Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula Inc is part of a national network of 55 regional development agencies which was established as part of a nationalĀ initiative in 2009. Ā The benefits of this regional framework strengthen the partnership between all three levels of government – local, state, and federal.
Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula (RDAWEP) has the benefit of being established through the amalgamation of Eyre Regional Development Board and Whyalla Economic Development Board. Both boards have a proven track record in gaining a strong reputation in supporting and driving regional development for their communities over the past two decades. The benefits of this regional framework strengthen the partnership between all three levels of government ā local, state and federal.
Whilst governments provide the core funding to the operations of the Board the organisation attracts and leverages funding for the delivery of high priority projects and service contracts that provide long term benefits to the region.
